As a business owner, more often than not you are your own cheerleader. There are awesome days but also days where things go wrong and you have no motivation to do anything. So many times I had to stand up tall and say I can do this or I am not going to let that bother me.

This is why I believe in celebrating your accomplishments. Big or small they all deserve a celebrations! My blog turned one in May, but I wanted a summer garden party theme so I planned it for July instead. I know for myself, there was countless times when I just wanted to quit. Little voices in your head telling you you’re not good enough, self doubt and looking at other bloggers who just seem to have it all. I am SO glad I didn’t give in and kept going. Little did I know there was so many amazing things coming my way. And the same thing goes for you! Don’t give up. Takes breaks when you need them! Instagram is not going anywhere 😉

My party day was pretty perfect! The sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky. Ben and I created and made our own menu and I kept the decorations to a minimum with garden flowers and tea light candles.

We served Mimosas on arrival, because what is a brunch without one?!  As it was a super hot day, I made sure to have a few different cold salads for the sides. The chicken teriyaki skewers were a hit!

I was going to do round tables of six but opted for a long table instead, it was much more intimate that way. What are some accomplishments you are celebrating right now? xx
