I love this time of year! Hallmark movies playing on the TV, and getting my house all decorated and ready for the holidays. Today I’m going to show you how I created a Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar in my living room, using everything from Amazon! When the holidays come around, we like to host our friends and I thought this cocoa bar would be a great addition to our festivities this year.
The first thing you’ll want to do is find the perfect space for your Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar! From there, decide what table or surface you’d like to use. I really love this table. It’s an entry table but it’s so versatile you can use it anywhere in your home. I find it’s the perfect height for guests to assemble their hot cocoa. If you don’t have a table you can use, check out this post for inspo on using a bar cart for your hot cocoa bar! I use it for a coffee bar but you can easily switch out items.
I wanted the bar to look really festive so I added this real cotton wreath above it. I also thought this hot cocoa sign was so cute!
I decorated the lower shelf with this cozy throw, and a festive pillow nestled in this beautiful basket. I also placed these champagne colored ornaments in this gorgeous copper hammered bowl.
I placed this decorative lantern candle holder next to the bar for an added festive touch. It also comes with its own LED candles!
For the Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar, I used a couple different Christmas mugs, linked here and here. I got these cute Christmas cocktail napkins– a pack of 80 for under $15! This jar is technically a candle holder but you can use it for so much more. Here I used it for the hot cocoa mix, and it was a perfect fit.
These gold mixing spoons are functional yet so pretty! I also like the pop of colour these red ramekins add. I used them to hold some toppings and cookies.
Let’s talk about toppings! For our cocoa bar, I used marshmellows, crushed peppermint, chocolate chips, candy canes, and even Lindt chocolate! Have you ever tried adding one to your cocoa? Soo good. Then I included some sweets like hazelnut piroulines, bite sized neapolitan wafers, and mini shortbread bites.
I used a variety of apothecary jars (linked here and here) to hold the toppings, desserts, and these cute striped paper straws. To assist in easy assembling, I purchased a set of 12 mini plastic scoops and laid them out on the table as well as in some jars.
And that’s it! I can’t wait to have some friends and family over to try out our new Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar this year.
I hope this helped give you some inspiration for your own Christmas Hot Cocoa bars. I’d love to know what you do for yours!
