Perfect red weekend dress

Happy Friday babes! I am so excited the weekend is here, I am spending some time with my mama and then heading to Seattle for a girls trip. I am bringing this gorgeous little red dress with me. I don’t know what I love more! The balloon sleeves, embroidery or the fact that it’s cotton and sooo comfy. I think I will go with all of the above 🙂 It comes in a really pretty turquoise color as well. Both are fully stocked and on sale for $72.

I styled this dress with my fave little bag {I seriously wear it with everything!} and these block heel sandals that are actually pretty comfortable.

I wanted to chat about a question that I get DM’d rather often {wish I didn’t} but that’s the reality of today and social media. “Why are girls so mean?”

You can easily just say, oh because she’s a b**** or that girl thinks shes all that. But as someone who was bullied all through elementary school and part of high school and now having a blog getting nasty comments from time to time, I think it’s way deeper than that.

From my experience when girls are mean, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. It’s 100% natural for us to feel hurt and let down when someone says something nasty about us. Just remember that most of the time, that person is going through something. A family problem, rejection, anger, jealousy and you are the person they are taking it out on.

As a blogger, I have had people call me fat, telling me I should stick to a “real job”, ugly and so on. The best response to these comments would be A) don’t respond. or B) respond ever so nicely as when you respond back the same way they did, it’s exactly what they want. For you to be upset and to let it effect you. Replying back with a sweet comment will show them that you are the bigger person and they don’t have a victim to poke at.

There is a quote that says “People have the right to their opinion and you have the right to ignore it” Don’t allow it to get you down. Your time is worth far more than being upset about something that Susan said.

I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t let anyone ruin your day. They do not deserve even one minute of your time. Stand up tall, fix your crown and move on cause you got far more important things to focus on!

Hope you have the best weekend! Shop my look below. xx
