Well it’s a couple days away from 2018 which means Whole30 is starting! I wanted to share this post with you and show you how I prepare for the Whole30 diet.
If there is anything I learned over the past couple years is that the saying “mind over matter” is 100% accurate in any life situation. It’s not enough to only go through the motions and prepare your food the night before. You have to want it bad enough. You have to prepare your mind to overcome the hard stuff like skipping out on pizza day at work and a simple salad with chicken on girls nights. Or, maybe skipping them all together.
I spent the last couple weeks preparing for the Whole30 diet. I got rid of everything in my house that would be a temptation. I started reading other blogs and the actual Whole3o diet book. I started pinning healthy Whole30 approved meals.
For me, like most people I am sure, my food has to be tasty. I bought these Spice Cave Certified Paleo and Whole3o diet approved seasonings. They are SO good and you can use them for all kinds of meats, veggies and dishes. $20 for a pack of 4 and they will last you so long!
I am a huge coffee drinker. Like that’s one thing I can’t give up! I am SO excited I found these Whole30 diet approved coffee creamers. They come in a package of 3 flavours and are actually really good!
Snacks are going to be so crucial for me as I am always out and about and the only way to resist grabbing something unhealthy is by packing snacks. I have seen so many bloggers who have done the Whole30 diet in the past swear by these RxBar Protein Bars. They are really good and so filling. I bought the variety pack but you can get a certain flavor only if you choose.
The other snack I bought was Vermont Smoke & Cure Meat Sticks. They have a variety of flavors as well. It’s the perfect grab & go snack!
One of my favorite Saturday morning breakfasts in pancakes. I am so glad I found this Paleo Folks Fluffy Pancake Baking Mix. It’s a little pricey for the amount, but I will be saving it for a treat when I am craving them badly!
I will be doing all my meal prep for the week on Sundays. My goal is to have most of my meals and snacks in containers and make a huge bowl of salad ready to go. Preparation is key! Most people fail because who has an extra hour each morning to prep and pack their breakfast and lunch?
Pinterest is such a great place to look for recipes. When I first looked over the Whole30 diet, I was like umm… so what CAN you eat?! But as I looked into it some more, there are endless recipes of delish meals! So who’s with me? Are you going to join me? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below! Also, I will be updating my Whole30 diet Diary daily and sharing recipes and snacks that I am loving so be sure to follow along!
A few other things I just bought:
Replace your current butter, olive oil, coconut oil or other cooking oil with ghee, its paleo and Whole30 approved
This Primal Kitchen three pack dressing will be your BFF! As I mentioned, it’s all about the taste and these are going to be so delish on your salad and as a dipping sauce. The three flavors are Ranch, Greek and Honey Mustard.
Please feel free to message me anytime if you have any questions! I will be posting to my insta stories so be sure to follow me on Instagram! I will also be posting in my Whole30 Diary daily too! xx
