What made you start a blog?
I was an event planner before I started blogging and have always had a creative side. When I sold my company, I felt like I needed to satisfy that side of me so I started a blog!
How old are you? 30! My birthday is the day after Christmas.
You look amazing! What have you been doing?
First of all, thank you!! I started in January with the Whole30. (As hard as that was, it was soo much easier to start my new journey because of it) In February I started Weight Watchers and never looked back! It’s seriously so easy and allows you to enjoy all your favourite foods by using the point system. In April I slowly started working out as well.
How much weight have you lost?
I have said this before, I don’t believe in weighting yourself. The number on the scale does NOT matter. It’s all about how you feel! When I first started, I was wearing a size 14-16 and now I am down to a size 6-8.
I would love to go spinning but I can’t afford it. Anything else you recommend?
I totally hear ya! And to be honest, I would not be able to afford it either if our rent was higher or if we had kids! lol. There are so many other workouts that you can do to get amazing results. I am also doing BBG (omg so good!!) and it’s very affordable. I also like Beachbody for their workouts as well!
What size are you in clothes now? What size were you before you started your journey?
I kind of answered this one already but when I started my journey in January I was a size 14 almost 16. Not that there is anything wrong with that size! I was not comfortable and confident in my own body and so I decided to make a change. I am now mostly a size 6 sometimes an 8 depending where I shop.
Do you and your husband want kids?
YES! We can’t wait to have kids.

Do you have hair extensions? If so, what kind?
I do not! It’s all my real hair 🙂
Where do you look for inspiration?
Other bloggers! They are constantly inspiring me.
I want to start a healthy journey like you so bad, but my job and home life is so stressful, I come home and the last thing I want to do is eat healthy and exercise. How do you stay motivated?
Please believe me when I tell you, been there!! I think I “started” like 500 times in the last two years. It’s a huge change and it doesn’t happen overnight. I think we want things to happen too quickly you know? We need to have patience and trust the journey. So instead of giving up everything at once, start slow. Instead of a coffee and muffin in the morning, have a coffee an a piece of toast with peanut butter and banana. Instead of hitting the gym for an hour, go for a walk in the neighbourhood for a couple weeks and add more from there. For me, I never was able to stick with something because I was not prepared to give up my fave foods. But guess what sista, YOU DON’T HAVE TOO! It’s all about proportions and that’s why I love Weight Watchers so much, it gives you so much freedom all you have to do is stay within your daily points. My best advice: One.Day.At.A.Time.
Have you ever had a stalker and how did you deal with it? (in that situation right now)
This is such a serious topic that is not talked about enough. Yes I have and it’s not fun! What I highly recommend is to stop using your location on stories and posts real time. Take the photos and post them after you leave. Don’t take photos of your house and neighbourhood that can easily lead someone to finding out where you live.
The steps I took is I blocked the person from my social channels but had my family keep checking up on his to make sure he wasn’t posting anything about me. Once, the police was involved and he did end up backing down. Don’t ever engage in conversation with the person and don’t be afraid to file a claim if need be!
Who is your photographer and what camera do they use?
Hubby is the one who takes all my photos! And since recently, we have been using my iPhone 7 plus camera for all our photos! We still have our Cannon but for now I am loving the shots the iPhone takes.
I tend to get so hungry right around bedtime (go figure!) What’s your fave late night snacks?
Oh girl, I feel ya! I rotate between an apple or banana with 1 tbsp of peanut butter, non-fat Greek yogurt with granola or Melba toast crackers with deli meat.
Is blogging your full time job?
It could be! But I chose to work a 9-5 job as well as I love what I do! I work for a non-profit Christian organization. My hubby helps me SO much with my blog and at this time, we are able to do both!
Do you have siblings?
Do I ever! lol I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters. My two little sisters moved next door to me and I love having them so close!
