I had the pleasure of celebrating my 30th birthday at The Trump Vancouver last month and it was nothing short of amazing. Even though we live just outside of Vancouver, it felt like we were on vacation. The Trump Vancouver is a 5 star hotel located in the heart of Vancity and the famed Arthur Erickson-designed stunning twisting tower fits right into the vibrant city.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the most friendly faces. From the valets with white gloves to the check-in where you were greeted with a warm welcome and lemon scented towels, you could already feel your stress melting away. I have to mention that David and his Concierge Team are one of the best. I immediately felt like I was talking to old friends!

As you walk in, dark organic wood panel & mirrored walls, open lounged seating and natural colors like green and blue are are what makes The Trump Vancouver so pristine.

The Trump Vancouver features 147 luxurious rooms and we stayed in an Executive King Suite on the 20th floor. The open floor plan concept, floor to ceiling windows and a large balcony with incredible views of downtown had me feeling like I was living a dream! Bobby was giving us a tour of the room, pointing out the many features like the free standing tub, heated marble bathroom and state-of-the- art technology in temperature, lighting and windows (blinds and shades). Every night, we melted into our pillows and felt so refreshed in the morning. The beds are incredibly comfy!

The private bar had a variety of delicious options, many sourced locally here in Vancouver. The staff surprised us with their signature Trump champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and Ben and I devoured them snuggled in our cozy robes on the balcony. We enjoyed the turn down service each night we came back to our room. Just another special touch that made us feel like we were on a luxurious vacation!

I was so surprised and grateful when I walked in and saw this gorgeous cake! It was one of the sweetest things I have ever gotten. I remember chatting with Bobby (marketing & leisure sales manager) that I would love to have a Chanel bag cake and I can’t believe he remembered! A huge thanks to Pastry Chef Fumiko for her stunning work.

We were lucky enough to experience The Trump Vancouver many food options. On our first night, we had dinner at Mott 32 and it was amazing. The impeccably designed restaurant is exclusively located in The Trump Vancouver and the only other location is in Hong Kong with one opening soon in Bangkok. Thankfully the servers were so nice and knowledgeable of the menu and were able to recommend a few dishes that were phenomenal. My personal favorites were the dim sum and the crispy roasted pork belly.

The next morning, we enjoyed a gourmet buffet breakfast at Mott 32. I couldn’t believe the variety of food options! From fresh fruit, baked goods, omelettes and Eggs Benedict to the crepe station, we were in breakfast heaven! If you know me at all, you don’t have to even ask if I ordered a crepe! It was so delish.

The Trump Champagne Lounge is a stylish and high end champagne Lounge and bar located on the upper level. It’s the perfect spot for a girls night or to have a drink and a bite to eat with your main gal/guy. Of course, it would be the perfect spot for a first date too!

They have the most incredible cocktails! I had the Scentless Apprentice, Presented on a vanity tray with perfume bottle, perfume mister & Chanel foam spooned tableside. I felt so fancy and it was so good! When you go ask for Yayoi, she is so incredibly sweet and will take such good care of you! (I am 100% sure that the other waiters are just as nice if she’s not available!)

They also offer a fabulous menu of delicious eats and everything we ordered was amazing. I recommend the slider trio, California roll and for dessert the Mignardises, Chefs daily selection is a must!

There isn’t too many things in life that are better than breakfast in bed. Ben chose the Eggs Benedict and I had an omelette. We ordered some fresh fruit, pastries and of course fresh juice and coffee! It arrived promptly at the time we had ordered and the gentlemen that delivered our breakfast was so pleasant.

The Spa By IVANKA TRUMP 

We had the pleasure of getting our (first!) ever couples massage and I can’t think of a better place than The Spa by IVANKA TRUMP. I will be covering our experience in a separate blog post next week. Whether you are staying at The Trump or not, The Spa is an experience that will make your trip to Vancouver that much more memorable.

Each morning before starting our day, we headed to the Health Club for a little sweat sesh. The Trump Vancouver is equipped with state-of-the-art premium Technogym ARTIS® equipment. In addition to the machines, it features a weight room and a separate yoga studio. I loved the little touches like the filtered water, fresh fruit and towels available for their guests.

The pool at The Trump Vancouver is pretty neat, Monday through Thursday the pool area is a great place to relax and enjoy the incredible views of Vancity. On the weekends (Thursday & Friday evenings and Saturday & Sunday) the pool area transforms to Drai’s Vancouver. It’s like a little bit of Vegas right here in the city!

The House Car | Rolls Royce 

It was so nice to just valet our car for the weekend and not have to worry about finding parking in the city. The Trump Vancouver is in the heart of the city, close to many major tourist attractions, restaurants and of course Robson Street. The house cars were available to drive us within a few miles of the hotel free of charge. I know not many hotels do this and it was definitely an experience to drive around town in a Rolls Royce! They also have an Escalade ESV that is available to guests as well. All our drivers made us feel like we were royalty and always had a fun story to tell.

I was sad to be leaving, but I couldn’t help but feel so refreshed and rejuvenated. And while the Trump Vancouver is a luxury 5 Star hotel, every staff member made you feel at home and like a friend. You will see their quote on the website and the back of your key, “Your time away is precious. NEVER SETTLE.” I couldn’t agree more. You work hard and deserve to be treated like the VIP that you are. So next time you are in Vancouver, book your stay with The Trump Vancouver, you’ll be so glad you did.
