Three things to start doing every morning

I am a morning person. Always have been. Most of my siblings are exactly opposite! My sister litterly has enough time to throw on her clothes, grab her keys and dash out the door. I don’t know how she does it! That would give me so much anxiety! I love my mornings, I use it as my”me time” and it totally helps set the tone for the rest of my day. I am sharing with your three things to start doing every morning to help you have your best day ever in today’s post.

First of all, in order to get up at least half to an hour before you leave the house you must try to get to sleep earlier. I will admit, this one is so tough for me and I am still struggling with it. Over the last month, I have been training my body to turn in 10 minutes earlier each night and it has helped.

These three things that I am sharing with you today are things that I have been doing over the last year and has helped significantly with my weight loss and how I feel throughout the day.

  1. Stretch. This one seems obvious but it’s so important! Your body has not been active for the last 6-8 (more or less) hours and stretching first thing in the morning you are improving your brain activity, helps with aches and pains and increases your energy levels throughout the day.
  2. Lemon Water. I used to drink my coffee first thing in the morning and now I cringe whenever I think about that. There are so many health benefits to drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning. It helps stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and the process of elimination. It’s very healthy for your liver and aids in a natural
    aids in detoxification. All very good reasons to start now!
  3. Me Time. I love my mornings because it’s my “me time”. After a stretch and lemon water, I make my coffee and have 30 minutes of peace and quite where I can enjoy my daily devotional and whatever else I want to do. The day is always so full of traffic, work, lunches, meal prep, errands etc, having 30 minutes to myself each morning has helped my day go so much smoother with less stress and more grace!
